01. -- introduction --
02. On The Last Day Of April(?)

Total Time ::: 4:46

::: Quite enjoyable AUD for its vintage but you be the judge. Check sample for an earful.
::: Warts: Repaired many dullspots & dropouts but surely missed a few.
::: This is the Mk1 version with NO EQ. The Mk2 version with EQ that brightens it up a bit can be found elsewhere.
::: Special guest for the evening, Roy Harper, presented by Ron Geesin.
::: The title of this lovely song is not confirmed. Does anyone know for sure?
::: Les Cousins (club) @ 45 Greek Street in Soho ~ "London's folk 'n' blues center".
::: Roy on Swedish TV & Ron Geesin song originally included with this done as separate uploads.
::: Labeled by taper as "most likely June 1968".
::: Lagga's original notes, "Its really a pity I didnt record more Roy at Les Cousins. I think it gives a feeling of a typical night at Cousins in the 60. Such a great club deeply missed!"
::: Recorded more than a year before the official "Live At Les Cousins" CD & supercedes that release's claim to being the "earliest known live recording".

Recording Information ::: unknown mono cassette recorder -> master cassette. Transferred from the original cassette direct to digital format without any editing by Lagga (circa 2004?).

Playback 2015-11-xx ::: master mono cassette flacs -> Audacity [normalisation to remove DC offset, fades, manual one-at-a-time glitch, bump, pop, click, dropout & dullspot repairs, volume adjustments, +1% pitch (speed) fix with single pass after frequency analysis & with pitchpipe verification, NO equalisation] -> CD Wave (track splits) -> flacs (Trader's Little Helper) -> yr ears. First uploaded week of 2015-11-21.

Line-up ::: Roy Harper - acoustic guitar, vocals.

Nothing here ever commercially released to my knowledge. If I'm wrong, please advise & I'll take the offending trax offline.

DimeTravel 231 ::: Thanks to the original taper & trader, Lagga! ::: Corrections welcome ::: For a fascinating look at early Roy Harper work, if you haven't heard "Today Is Yesterday", head on over to www.royharper.co.uk/today-is-yesterday.html & pick up a copy - hard copy by post or you can buy flacs for 7 pounds. Cool early traxk from '64-68 including rare singles, both released & unreleased, & demos, etc. This song from Les Cousins is QUITE lovely, well worth some listens. Too bad it's not the entire evening... Luckily there is a 2CD set available from the club, recorded in 1969 by EMI - well worth seeking out. Listen, enjoy, show appreciation, share, give, spread peace. Yrs truly, Knees
