Rubn Blades does not need an introduction, his voice is the same as 25 years ago. He is touring with the Roberto Delgado Orchestra, 12 musicians (1 or 2 keyboards, bass, 2 to 4 drummers / percussionists and a strong horn section). Pure salsa, highly danceable, a career spanning setlist.

The recording has a few issues. There are a few handling noises from the mic cables touching the jacket during the quieter parts between the songs. There is some crowd noise (but I wouldn't grudge that, the audience was half latin, at least were I stood, dancing, greeting friends, having a good time, trying to get some video on their iphones or some souvenir pics of themselves, their friends, whatever - rarely just standing around listening to the music).

Expecting a long show I started the recorder a little late, missing the first 2 seconds of music. Getting a long show I ran out of MD space right after "Pedro Navaja", missed some band introductions and some 30 seconds of the instrumental intro to "Patria" - did a crossfade, but it's noticable.

The sound was good, the horn section came out a little too dominant in the recording, so I lowered the frequencies above 8000 a couple of dB and accentuated the range between 3 and 8000 by 1 - 2 dB. Apart from that I lowered a couple of volume spikes, raised the overall level by 1 dB, applied the leveller manually to some lound clapping.
