Every so often, the unalterable (sound and mix in the air), the variable (location of
seat) and the controllable (actions taken by the 'recording engineer') converge at their
zenith. Happy to state that this was such a night and the result is magnificent; definitely
one of my best audience recordings. Because of slow ticket sales, the balcony was closed.
However two or three fans and I obtained access and seated ourselves in the front row,
myself about ten seats away. You will hear from them but at the right times only. Sole
way to improve the evening would have been Martha's presence. I greatly missed her vocals,
especially on 'In My Arms' and 'Sally Ann'.
