Approx. 1997-2001
CD-r>EAC with error correction>FLAC
Rusty Burns is the founding guitarist of the great Texas' southern rock band Point Blank. He was an influence for many great texas guitarists including Diamond Darrell of the heavy metal group Pantera.

These are various demos that Rusty Burns recorded in his home studio showcasing his versatile guitar playing and composing and producing.
Most of these songs are Instrumentals that feature upbeat melodies and blistering guitar solos. The music sometimes veers a little bit close to "smooth jazz" territory but you will definitely hear Eric Johnson and Steve Morse's influences here as well.
Rusty passed these around localy on CD-r and later posted some mp3 versions on his short-lived website (rustyburns.net) from 2007-2008. (See included screenshot from wayback.archive.org) Track 11 is an early instrumental version of the title track of Point Blank's latest CD "Fight On".
Most of the songs were inspired by Rusty's christian faith and have christian titles but I unfortunately don't know all of the titles.
Here is a great version of the instrumental "My Soul Cries Out" (track 06) on YouTube Like Gary Moore's "Parisienne Walkways" or Andy Timmons "Cry For You" it has that great dramatic building-toward-the-guitar-solo contour:
