I could not believe my luck in 2004 when it was announced that Neil Innes was taking The Rutles on the road for a tour of the UK and they would be performing at my local venue the Newcastle Opera House. I counted down each day until the night of the concert arrived - I was not to be disappointed. The show was fabulous in every way, hilariously funny with excellent performances of the prefab four’s great songs. Listening to this recording again now I prefer these live versions over the studio recordings from the LP and CDs. I would be interested to hear if you feel the same, drop a line or two in the comments below.

There is some hiss present on this recording - mainly audible on the quieter sections but it is not obtrusive. I have not applied any noise reduction as it kills the music. Hiss is a part of life and we should accept it.
Check the three mp3 samples in the comments below if you are unsure whether to download.
