Waterfront Blues Festival
July , 2013
Again this year recorded from KBOO FM 90.7 here in Portland. A volunteer radio station that has broadcast the festival each and every year. It has become a huge festival & we stopped going due to the big crowds. I now record all that I can & enjoy sharing with you all. As with any all volunteer station there are a few blurps along the way, which I have "fixed" as well as I can. Enjoy, twofthrs

One of Scotland's finest singer-songwriters, Sandi Thom rocketed to fame in the UK in 2006 with a platinum-selling debut album with a top-ten hit, "I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker (With Flowers in My Hair)." Her critically acclaimed follow-up, Merchants & Thieves, established Thom as a blues-rocking powerhouse, and featured guitar work by her life partner, blues guitar virtuoso Joe Bonamassa.
Thoms latest, Flesh and Blood, produced by Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes, features guest appearances by legendary Rolling Stones saxophonist Bobby Keyes and Native American songstress, Buffy Sainte Mariea release the London Herald hailed as The most compelling and personal songs of her career, and the Times dubbed exquisite.
Since arriving on the scene six years ago, Thom has sold more than one million albums, been nominated for a Brit award, won a digital music award for her artistic innovation, and last year won album of the year at the Scottish music awards. She has appeared at London's Royal Albert Hall (with Queen guitarist Brian May and Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones); Dubai Jazz Festival; was part of a star-studded tribute to Les Paul at the New Yorks Iridium Theatre; France's Nice Jazz Festival (with Joe Bonamassa); Japans Fuji Rock Festival, as well as ongoing tours in Europe, Australia and the US.
