Steve Miller band opened, there were two blondes and a brunette sitting in front of us, during the first 25 mins of steve miller they yakked intermittently until i had an argument with them during which we both told each other to get fucked. they then shut up a bit.
During the Santana set you can hear them yakking just once for about 10 secs. We all loved this show, we had come to see Steve Miller and would not have bothered just for Santana, as the last time i saw him at this venue he played many new songs that did not move me, but the main issue was that the sound was appalling, bouncing off the rear and echoing so it was like begin in an aircraft hanger.
Well, this show was a revelation, the sound was superb ( which is largely reflected in the recording ) visuals were stunning and the band , with the brass section , were just stellar. if you don't like this you are likely dead, give it a try even if you aint a current Santana fan as its a mix of old and new and also a few times there are snatches of miles from in a silent way/ bitches brew era which are just lovely :-)
