In short, Sarah McLachlan wanted to take a different approach from using
conventional openers & incorporated them into her main set. The show was
roughly 2 and a half hours (not counting the 25 minute intermission between
acts) and was quite enjoyable. Butterfly Boucher & Melissa McClelland's songs
were very strong and Sarah looked and sounded great playing w/ them. Sarah's
band was still the mainstay, using the 2 "friends" for occasional background
vocals and instrumentation (ie: Butterfly played bass for the entire set).

Regarding the recording, I did adjust volume levels throughout due to loud
clapping and quieter songs. It should not be too noticeable, but you will
want to raise the volume during the question and answer portions of the show.
I did bring those up by 3+db, but did not want to make too much of a
difference from the speaking between songs during the rest of the show.

This was my first time seeing Sarah & she was nothing short of incredible live.
