SAVOY BROWN
THE BARBARY, PHILADELPHIA, PA, USA
JULY 21, 1995
MASTER AUDIENCE RECORDING BY THE KING OF ROCK

SONY D3>1st GEN CASSETTE>STAND ALONE BURNER>WAV>FLAC

I once saw another recording of this show here on Dime. That was good, but this is a better capture, imho.

After the other day's Johnnie Johnson upload from this dive I thought I'd unearth this baby. This is a killer show! On the heels of the excellent Bring It Home CD they do 10 of the tunes here including the now-classsic original Too Much Of A Good Thing and great covers inc. Pack It Up. The old songs all get the treatment. Streetcorner has some mindblowing guitar playing, epic Hard Way To Go etc. [Edit: Listening now to HWTG - this could be the best version I have ever heard!!] And Pete McMahon, lets face it, has one of those voices where he doesn't even need to sing. He just opens his mouth and the music comes out, big and smooth. If you have not heard it yet Voodoo Moon, the new SB album, is truly awesome. Right up there with their very best and that is saying something. Every song is a winner. If you get a chance to go see them live don't blow it! Outstanding capture by TKOR imho.
