SEAN COSTELLO
Upfront & Company
Marquette, MI
June 17, 2000:

IN MEMORIUM: Sean Costello passed away suddenly last night (April 15) in his hotel room in Atlanta--one day before his 29th birthday. Sean had been a blues prodigy since age 9 and recorded his first album at age 14. I had the privilege of enjoying several of his live performances in person, and his total respect for the traditions of the blues and the great performers who came before him was evident in the professionalism he demanded of himself and his band in every performance. I was looking forward to seeing him live again in a few weeks.

The cause of his death is not known but no foul play is suspected. If you are interested, according the news release I read, "In lieu of flowers, donations to the singer's non-profit The SeanCostello Foundation for Bi-Polar Research, are requested. To donate, call 678-384-0063 or e-mail tray@bbandt.com."

Rest in peace, Sean.
