My first time seeing Sheryl since April of 1999. After the release of "C'mon, C'mon",
my interest in seeing her had waned and most of her post Y2K material didnt pique my
interest. However, "The Globe Sessions" will always be one of my favorite records
from the late 90's and earlier this year I found myself spinning it again. I decided
to see if she was touring and the very next morning tickets went onsale for this show!
Pretty crazy timing so I decided I better get a ticket. On top of that she performed
an incredible rendition of "The Difficult Kind" one of my favorites from the
aforementioned album. From what I can tell, Sheryl is only performing 4 concerts this
summer, so I really lucked out getting one in Ohio. As much as I disliked "Soak Up The
Sun" when it came out in 2002, I found myself singing along to it at the show -- thats
how much I enjoyed it! Im also very happy she only played a minute of "Picture", thats
another one I never cared for. Very happy w/ the set and peformance, the only thing
that would have made this show better would have been seeing "It Don't Hurt" in the set.

I had Johnny Whistles to my right, so I literally had to spend an hour removing his
annoying whistles between every song. The few whistles left in are usually when
Sheryl is speaking or during a song. I lowered those by about 5db so it would not be
as loud and distracting. Fuck that guy, seriously.

Fraze Pavilion is a great sounding (and looking!) place, check this one out.
Lets hope I dont wait another 17 years to see her!
