Show Of Hands - Hitchin Folk Club, Herts, UK 1992-01-19, brand new transfer from master cassettes aud FLAC

Sony ECM909 mic/Sony Pro Walkman/JVC TD-W718 to adobe audition >Tracks>phase correction>fades>Flac

I think this is the earliest Show of Hands recording I have, at this great folk club in Hitchin - still going strong of course, some 40 miles north of the centre of London although our journey was double that. We sat in the front row so there is little audience noise apart from usual chorus singing. I can't believe this was 16 years ago!

Few of these songs are performed now so it's a good record of early Show of Hands , just 18 months into their career - no doubt somebody who's knowledge is contained in his beard will pontificate that it was longer than that, but 18 months will do.

For the benefit of the Yahoo Sandy Denny Group, there are no Sandy Denny songs in this set sung out of order on the wrong day, the first set is really the second set, the second set is really the fourth set and the blind fiddler played trombone. The Jack was Steve Knightly's dog, Andy Roberts also sang Corine Corina, and Santiago is in Chile where they drink Chilean wine, imported "all the way" from Mendoza in Argentina and re-labelled!!

.....and what on earth is fix?
