Sid Griffin (LONG RYDERS) & Pat McGarvey (COAL PORTERS, WESTERN ELECTRIC)
- October 16, 1997 - Music Star, Norderstedt, Germany
** from SOUNDBOARD DAT master, MWM 0103 **
>> ANOTHER MUST-HAVE ! - UNTRADED & UNCIRCULATED << with samples

"dclubok" & "singsing", this one here is especially for you...(BIG THANKS FOR YOUR FINE UPLOADS!),
and all the other uploaders, friends and supporters of good old Sid, his music & his bands...

Preliminary remark :

And another test, this time a longer upload:
With a NEW boot-harddisc after a severe hd-crash
(losing not only my religion, but also the next
dozen uploads plus lots of descriptions, pics etc...)
and a new torrent-client (after five years with EXEEM
(anybody remembers this one ?) and another five years
with AZUREUS) i have to confess that i hate the new
VUZE 4.0 (formerly AZUREUS)...the frog is not longer
THAT shining bright "azureus blue"...IMHO...

So this torrent here is another kind of a relaunch...hope it works properly again.

This recording here comes directly from the "Men With Microphones" archive.
"MWM" started in the 70ies in South Germany with analog recording equipment,
and at least two of them are still recording sometimes (since the 90ies on DAT,
and, lazy as we are, since lately with small, handheld WAV-recorders on SD-cards).
The "MWM" startet as a project of friends sharing their hobbies together. But by
reason of jobs, partners and other interests the circle of all involved shrinked.

Sid & Pat - October 22, 1997 - LGB Zwischennutz, Nuremberg, Germany

About this concert:

During an European Tour in October 1997, sharing the bill together with Bob Neuwirth,
our hero "Sid The Sqid" played a few rare solo/duo shows together with his partner in
crime, bass player, song co-author, friend and "Coal Porters" bandmember Pat McGarvey.
And sometimes with other famous, wellknown, mostly German musicians...on stage always
impersonated by the very same and absolutely fantastic & funny Mr. Hair Gel Pat...

If you live in the northern part of Germany, or if you have a job or holidays nearby,
it's A MUST to visit his concert-venue "Musicstar" in Norderstedt, north of Hamburg,
minimum once in your lifetime. There is a fine recordstore too and if you are into
Apple MAC-computers, the owner Wolfgang is the local provider at Marketplace 11.
