So…it’s 1978 and I’m hanging around the pool at an apartment complex. A few people are smoking their favorite and a conversation starts up about music. I end up making a couple of cassettes of shows (Steely Dan I think…you know the FM broadcasts & JJ’s Club) and give them to a couple of guys. Within a few days I’m back out at the pool and someone hands me a name and telephone number and tells me this guy was into taping shows but has retired from it…give him a call. A real nice person who allowed me to copy many of his reels.
So here is the Siegal-Schwall Blues Band live at the Café A-Go-Go New York City in 1967. I don’t have an exact date just the year.

While taping the Siegal-Schwall Blues Band at Club 47, ‘The Taper’ became friendly with the sound guy for the band and was allowed tO copy a soundboard from the Café Au-Go-Go. However, he only recorded 4 songs from the tape as he felt his recordings were far superior in quality and had a club presence that was missing from the soundboard. He also grabbed a few songs that he didn't have from the Club 47 show. Oh well….this is all I have. Though I do have the Club 47 show which will go up next.
