This show was billed as "Skeeter Branch," which was a band put together by Ramsey McLean, who wrote most of the material (and also wrote for Harry Connick Jr., and others). Ramsey calls George Porter Jr. his "good friend and mentor" and GP Jr. plays the entire show. Obviously, word had gotten out, which is why this performance was taped. Skeeter Branch played at the Lone Star Roadhouse on at least two other dates between February and May 1991 but, unfortunately, there's basically no information about the band and even the songs with lyrics defy identification. But the lineup is great!

NOLA Medley > Fiyo on the Bayou is really one long piece, split into two tracks for convenience. There were a number of small discontinuities between songs, sometimes with a little music missing, and there are tape flips in places that suggest this may be a copy of the master tape. This was also the night that Evander Holyfield beat George Foreman in Atlantic City. So, of course, the band has to talk about that between songs.

Jimmy Lovino - guitar
George Miceli - drums
Lester(?) Williams - vocals, percussion
Ramsey McLean - keyboards, vocals(?)
George Porter - bass (good friend and mentor)
one track w/ John (Joan?) Stats

Enjoy!
