Taper's Notes:

My taping buddy Mike and I arrived in Buffalo shortly before the scheduled start time of 4 pm (!), and after surveying the situation downstairs (it's a small room with a long bar - we figured it was gonna be chatty down there, a taper's worst case scenario), asked if we could go up in the balcony - and there was no one up there yet, so we grabbed chairs overlooking the stage and set up our gear!

This was my introduction to the Skiffle Minstrels (thanks Mike!), and I was thoroughly impressed by their command of the classic country swing sound. I was familiar with their lap steel player, Gary "G. Ellwyn" Meixner, from his days as a member of The Colorblind James Experience in the 80's - I knew if he was affiliated with this group, they had to be good!

We enjoyed the excellent sound from the new Sportsmen's PA system - the hanging speakers face down to the dance floor, and up towards the balcony - it was perfect for upstairs taping - I think you'll agree :)

Enjoy!! - Zeb
