Gig Notes:

Sleepy Sun were on their UK leg of the European tour for the Maui Tears album, with local bands Sloth Metropolis and Woven Tent in support.

Despite the best attempts of the support bands to talk their way through the set, the band put on an excellent performance.

Recording notes and sound quality:

Recorded from the middle, which might have been a good idea, but unknown to me, the members of both support bands and their friends gathered round and decided to shout to each other through Sleepy Sun's set. Ignorant fuckers. That's two bands I'll completely avoid in the future. However, they are only noticeable in the second half of the set and it's not really too bad. It was worse at the time. The mics thankfully didn't pick it all up.

I boosted the volume by +10db after hard limiting a few peaks. The vocals are a little low at times, as I was between the (very) small PA speakers.
