Description
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Continuing to mine the Snooks archive... This one was recorded stealth, but it's listenable. Mics were probably 10-15 feet from stage, on the left side of the room relatively close to a PA stack.

Source: Core Sounds binaural mics > Core Sounds battery-powered preamp > Sony TCD-D7 > DAT (48kHz)
Transfer (August 2010): DAT master > Sony PCM-R500 > (coax spdif) > Metric Halo MIO-2882 firewire interface > Macintosh MacMini (2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) > MIO Console 5.2.00.153 (record panel) > (48kHz, 16-bit split stereo/dual mono files) > firewire hard drive > MacBook Pro (2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) > Bias Peak Pro 6.2.0.21692 (trimmed, converted to 44.1kHz - best setting, see editing notes, split into songs) > aiff/wav > xACT v1.71 (level 8 compression) > flac
Editing notes: Recording levels changed a few times during the recording; additionally, slight EQ was performed (to lessen some of the muddiness):
* First 18:26 lowered 5 db
* First 19:16 lowered another 3.5 db
* Last 35:39 raised 4 db (beginning with Sleepwalk)
* EQ performed with Bias's Freq4 plugin (-3db at 318 Hz with a 2.0Q bell curve)
* Entire recording normalized by 6.2 db
Additional notes: There was not a planned set break, but the show stops briefly to allow the drummer to visit the restroom. The recording is paused at the end of Track 17 (about 4:33 into Sleepwalk). The show resumes after about five minutes. Track 17B (in the ""extra"" directory) includes about a minute of stage talk leading up to the resumption of the show (Track 18).
