Source and original transfer to shn: WWOZ-FM > Audiomedia III soundcard > Macintosh G3/300 > Bias Peak 3.2.1 > wav > Shorten for Mac 1.1a3 > shn (two large, unedited files)

Transfer to flac (January 2010): two original shn files (+/- 180 minutes) > Macintosh MacBook Pro (2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) > Bias Peak 6.1.1 (normalized by 2.6 db (left channel) and 4.4 db (right channel) - L/R levels were incorrect during recording; split into songs; see additional editing notes below) > aiff/wav > xACT v1.64 > flac (sector boundaries checked and repaired, level 8 compression)

Recording/editing notes:
Due to an error during recording, the first part of this recording (about 28 minutes) was saved in IMA 4:1, an early audio-file-compression format. The result is some tape-hiss-like noise during that portion. The recording was later stopped and the remainder (beginning in the middle of Track 8) was saved in 44.1kHz .wav format. (There is a brief splice in the middle of Track 8 between the two sources that is FM>VHS>PC.)

Unrelated to this, Snooks' guitar mic cut out during Track 11. The levels drop to almost to nothing. Using Bias Peak's amplitude fit function, the levels were raised significantly. The resulting portion is very noisy (as the noise floor was louder than the music). The unedited track is also archived here.

The entire recording suffers from (relatively minor) FM transmission noise. The vocal mics were a little hot, particularly Eddie Bo's.

No noise reduction or EQ was attempted.
