CASSETTE AUDIENCE MASTER > 2ND GEN CASSETTE >

Changes Made (Nero 7):
Cross-mixed all tracks (78:22), instrument dynamics and stereo balance improved
Reduced Right channel by 5-8% to centre stereo balance
Reduced volume by 1dB
Applied EQ, bass (+2dB) and treble (+3dB)
Retracked to closely match the set list from 'urich21' - times differ slightly
...but no noise reduction, couldn't find a setting that worked
Quality: Worth an A+ now
--------------------------
The original was a very good recording anyway, but the instruments were indistinct so
I remastered it (details above) and now each instrument is clearer (and louder) in the
mix and the overall sound is more dynamic, with more background ambiance.
It would have been nice to find an NR setting that worked, but I tried without success
to find any setting that did not degrade the sound, so I left well alone. However, if
anybody has better tools, then feel free to have a go - and post of course !!
OP 'davmar77' requested that somebody retrack and repost, so 'urich21' kindly provided
the set list and I did the rest. Thanks to both of them for their help and...
...Enjoy the best performance I've heard from this version of Soft Machine !!
Allan Holdsworth (Guitar)
Mike Ratledge (Keyboards)
Roy Babbington (Bass)
John Marshall (Drums)
Karl Jenkins (Saxes, Keyboards)

Interesting attempt at making Marshall's drum solo more "digestible" by bookending it
with the jam riff - or is that the other way round ? - urich21
