Per frequent request.......here is the only tape I've ever heard of from Percy's brief tenure in Soft Machine.
This tape came to me marked as Feb 9 1976, but the violin dates it to much later in the year. There is a performance in the chronology dated Oct 9-76, in Copenhagen which is very near Roskilde, perhaps this is that show.
A few caveats....This tape is listenable, by my standards, but might not be to more critical ears than mine. The quiet parts are very quiet, not much louder than the tape hiss, and the loud parts are a bit overmodulated.Those Percy fanatics out there(You know who you are), who might consider this to be some kind of Holy Grail in his oeuvre, will most likely be disappointed. Other than a short Bass and drums interlude where he kicks in the envelope filter, it's not a showcase for him like Brand X, Eno or Stonetiger, he mostly just plays the t
