Early this morning, on sunday october 10th, soulsinger Solomon Burke died of natural causes.

Solomon had just arrived at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, for a sold out performance with the Dutch band De Dijk at the Paradiso venue this tuesday.

We are intensely sad. For his beloved ones, for his children and family, and for his many friends. We are very proud we can, ever since our cooperation started three years ago, count us among them.

His music will continue, his love will stay with us forever.

De Dijk.

Solomon Burke, together with Dutch band De Dijk, should have played a sold out concert at Paradiso because of the recently appeared succesfull album 'Hold On Tight', which they recorded together.

'No show' doesn't exist, according to the ideas of Solomon Burke.
That's why the Paradiso-concert will have a different setup. As decided in consult wit the Burke family, De Dijk and Paradiso and as wished by Solomon, this will concert must be noticed as a celebration, the so called home coming (and not a tribute).
