'SOMBA is a brazilian jam band that started its activities at 1998. At 2000, they released the single CD "Abbey Roça", with 4 songs. At 2003, their debut full album "Clube da Esquina dos Aflitos" was released. Finally, at 2007 they released "Cuma?". The band presents the jam band way of playing with a brazilian accent, using brazilian popular music influences to compose their songs. SOMBA played at openning shows for great brazilian artists such as Ed Motta, Tom Zé, Nando Reis, Cássia Eller, 14 Bis, Toninho Horta, Los Hermanos, etc. At 2009, they presented their show at SXSW Music Conference, at the same stage of Playing for change, Groovesession and Big Sam's and the funky nation.'
