An incredible show that started out slow with a few standards, but eventually progressed into pure fusion heaven, with classics from Mike Stern, Steps Ahead, Weather Report, Chick Corea Elektric Band, John Patitucci, Herbie Hancock, Michael Brecker and Jeff Lorber. If you're into fusion, you're in for a special treat. The recording quality is excellent. It gets better during Michael Brecker's "Midnight Voyage" when we moved to a better location. The musicianship is outstanding throughout. Robert Baglione does a great job showing off his Scott Henderson/Mike Stern influences, and Carl Coan is one of the best post-Brecker saxophonoists I've heard in a long time. I consider myself extremely lucky to live in the Chicago area, and be able to see these guys. And be sure to pick up Robert's excellent CD entitled "Positive Charge", which features among others Victor Wooten, Kirk Covington, as well as another Chicago-area great, bass master Billy Dickens. Don't miss this incredible show!!!
