I've loved Sonny for about 20 years now, ever since I saw him (a total unknown) at Fitzgeralds American Music Festival in 1990. He always plays great, and is slowly getting some recognition.
He played my favorite venue in Phoenix and put on his usual sterling show to an overflow audience, although this is the first time I saw him when he didn't play Congo Square. My apologies for the drop out part way through Port of Calling - I got an urgent call I had to take outside.
I also boosted the level in the first half of the show to match the second half, but no other modification was performed.
Hope you enjoy it, and buy Sonny's records - especially Levee Town, which is the most beautiful packaging I have ever seen on a CD.
