Tapers Notes: On the heels of one of their best LPs, "Follow Your Heart,"
the Sons of Champlin, now known just as "The Sons," hit the big time with a
headliner show at Winterland in San Francisco. At this point in time, the
Sons seemed poised for success, soon to release their fourth album,
Welcome To The Dance, which they believed would gain them the recognition
that had long eluded them through the years. Adding elements of soul and
funk to their foundational blend of rock, R&B and jazz, the band had
never sounded better.
This tape came to me with horrible splits which I fixed and one drop out
on the last track. I fixed the splits and mono'ed the drop out.
