The Sons of Chammplin are a Bay Area, Summer of Love, psychedelic funk band,
that played off and on from 1968 to date. Since Bill Champlin quit the band
Chicago, he has re-formed the Sons and they are touring again. This gig was
attended by an appreciative crowd at the Coach House, a dark funky supper club
in San Juan Capistrano. A stab at cover art for a full size CD is in the
torrent, but I'm not a graphic artist.

Three notes to the concert. First, the artists have not suffered a stroke. They
are faking a speech impediment during some banter sections as some private joke.
Second, the set list below is not a mistake--the Sons played a two hour set without
breaks. Bill and the boys were feeling great, and it just happened. Finally, the
unknown blues song at Track 22 is Rob Moitoza song, who also wrote "For Imagination's
Sake." I can't remember this song, so any hard core Sons fans, please chime in on
this track.

This one goes out to Murray, the No. 1 Sons fan in SoCal and most importantly gave me
a ride back to my crash pad after the gig......
