Taper's Comments:

1 - HELP!! If you have any uncirculated SPIRIT shows, or better quality FM
broadcasts than what's been posted here before, please share them. If you
know anybody who has shows that fit this category that aren't on DIME, please
dub off their stuff and share it. I'm trying to write a book on SPIRIT and need
all the information I can get. I have a database of over 1500 gigs 1967-1996, and
want to find as much information as I can to add to it. If you have any memories
of where you saw SPIRIT, the more specific the better (venue, city, date, supporting
bands, etc.), I'd love to know that as well. Please leave that in the comments
section or PM me. Thank you!

2 - Show description & comments follow:

This is the kind of stuff I dream about finding! A BIG THANKS to tcdewe (John) who
actually sent me his original trade cassettes to digitize and get out here for all.
You can't get any nicer than that! While I'm at it, also thanks to bobhowe, amellowsoul,
psycherelics, eddieblue, cazell, gv0000, 38f, shepherd, pgl, sonofgar, Big Panda, JormaJeff
and others who have contributed music and information. I hope more music and info will
surface in the future. Always thanks to roryglzep too!

This is only the third concert tape to surface from the infamous SPIRIT 1973 Euro tour,
and the best sounding one that I've heard as well. Randy sounds like he's feeling NO
PAIN, which is likely, since after this tour ended in May 1973, he ended up in rehab.
The "Deck The Halls" opener I think is just the band sound checking to get their levels
right, as the sound improves once they get to "Veruska". Of course, "Deck The Halls"
in April??!! Whoa!! There are interesting versions of "Fresh Garbage" and "1984", an
announced jam session, and the only known live performance of the KAPT. KOPTER
song, "Rainbow". For a 1973 recording, I think this one sounds pretty damn good.
I think you'll find it a VERY interesting listen, and I pray for more like this one! Enjoy!
