Comments:
1 - I know in the past we have had our share of Spirit / Randy California floods here on Dime (& EZT & STG previously). It would be nice to start on up again, especially where in the past I did not save all the data, & I'd hate to introduce any DAE into the lineage .... anyone?
2 - There are more originals coming from this taper, but I will not tease you with who else may be offered, but let's see how this first offer goes.
3 - Taper's show description & comments follow:

This was the night I finally met Randy and Cass. It was the best Christmas present I ever received! It was the beginning of my long term relationship with the band. The old "Nightclub 9:30" was a fairly small club in a rough section of town. I had met Randy before the show, and told him about the published magazine article I had written on the band. He had seen it, and commented on how much he apprecaited it. I requested that he play a new song I liked entitled "Sister Tell Me", which I had heard from an FM broadcast earlier in the "SPIRIT OF '84" tour. He played it during the encore, and dedicated to me, which was a thrill. It was a shame it was likely never professionally recorded.
While nothing can beat the power of the original line up, some of the lesser SPIRIT line ups were really good, and they will always remain my favorite band. I always loved this show. I hope it will spur others to post additional SPIRIT recordings. Where's the Bill Graham stuff?
