This was billed as the final SLR show but recent news stories quote the band as saying there may be more. Let's hope so. It was a great night for music, with a large number of long-time fans crowding the Cotillion. The boys played with wild abandon all night, in an almost 2-hour long set, and the crowd responded in same. Everyone enjoyed the music of this very special band.

The bass problem from the 8/20 recording has been improved, through adjusting of the bass roll-off. The crowd noise is not as distracting either, possibly from an unusual placement of the mics. The mic clips for my glasses was missing, so I improvised by wrapping the line around my frames and hoping for the best. The experience of listening through headphones is highly recommended for this recording.

If you like SLR and their live show, you will very much enjoy this recording. The band is refusing to say "final", so we may be blessed with more. Kirk Rundstrom is finishing up his new CD and it should be available soon. He also plans to play locally and tour, so check his web page for details.
