Comments: It was so great to see the Beard again. They really need to get to east coast more often. This was a really fun night, and memorable show. I'm glad I got to see them while they were still sort of touring "Brief Nocturnes.." as it is my favorite post-Neal album. The "Whole Lotta Love" thing was prior to the encore when the rest of the band was waiting for Ryo. It looked like some of the crowd was buying him shots. They just sort of spontaneously started playing it, and it carried on for a couple verses. One thing I like about this band, they always seem to have a blast when they perform, and it translates to a strong performance!

I was very close to the stage, very near to Al's stage monitors. As such, the recording has Al's guitar high in the mix. I chose to sit close, even know the mix wouldn't be the best. I don't get to see this band very much after all. I recorded them in 2006 at the same venue and had similar mix issues on that well as well, in that case Al was too low in the mix, so this one kind of makes up for that one. (I never posted that show anywhere, as there was another recording of that show circulating - but I like the way mine sounded better). The stage sound was so loud where I was sitting, I think I may have done pernament damage to my ears unfortunately :( I've seen hundreds of concerts in my life, and never had the ringing last into the next morning (only in my right ear). Still, despite how loud it was, the M10 did a fantastic job and turned out a great capture.

Artwork is included in the torrent, with photos from the actual show.
