::: Superb quality. Check samples for earburn or earjoy (almost certainly the latter).
::: Warts: NONE excepting brevity! Repaired the few dullspots I heard but possibly missed a few.
::: DJ talks over the first note or so of the beginning of Parts 1 & 2, so traxsplits are a little odd.
::: CONTRAST CLAUSE: This is the Mk2 24bit/96kHz high quality version. The CD burnable Mk1 44,1 kHz version may be found elsewhere.
::: Incomplete show but complete 2 part after the fact radio broadcasts. Part 1 #01-03a. Part 2 #03b-06.
::: #1 intro'd by DJ as Take The Water, Take The Wine (actually originally "Take The Water") but the taper believes by '97 Stan always intro'd it as "C.S. Opera".
::: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Notodden_Blues_Festival has more Festival info & complete '97 line-up.
::: Chicken Shack line-up #24 (according to Wikipedia) - around from 1993-1998.

Recording Information ::: NRK P1 mono concert recording broadcasts -> Marantz receiver SR 580 -> NAD cassette deck 6340 -> off-air master Maxell XL II-S 90 cassette, Dolby off.

Playback 2016-02-xx ::: off-air master Maxell XL II-S 90 cassett played back on Sony Walkman Professional Model WM-D6 Stereo Cassette Player, Dolby off -> Harman Kardon HJK 3380 -> Roland R-05 WAVE Recorder -> 24bit/96kHz wavs.

Remastering 2015-03-xx ::: 24bit/96kHz wavs -> Audacity [normalisation to remove DC offset, channel/phase alignment, fades, manual one-at-a-time dropout & dullspot repairs, volume adjustments, Part 1 +2.2% & Part 2 +1.4% pitch (speed) fixes with single pass per segment after frequency analysis & with pitchpipe verification, NO equalisation or noise reduction] -> CD Wave (track splits) -> flacs (Trader's Little Helper) -> yr ears. First uploaded week of 2016-03-05.

Line-up ::: Stanley Frederick "Stan The Man" Webb electric guitar, vocals // Gary Davies electric guitar // James Morgan electric bass // Keith "Bev" Smith drums.

Nothing here ever commercially released to my knowledge. If I'm wrong, please advise & I'll take the offending trax offline.

DimeTravel 285 ::: MANY thanks to the original taper & trader, DIMER hyarar, for tapin' & transferrin'! ::: Corrections welcome ::: Like so many fine musicians of this era, it's gettin' to be that I've been cruising with Stan for most of my life. Bought all his albums on vinyl & then worked well into the CD world, replacing old ones & buying the new. Other than some crappy brickwalling, it's been a real fine ride - so hats off to Stan The Man. Thanks for all the years/ears o' pleasure. Here's another round for those o' you who feel the same. Listen, enjoy, show appreciation, share, give, spread peace. Yrs truly, Knees
