03. Roadhouse Blues
04. Down The Dustpipe

Total Time ::: 15:22

::: Slightly distant but decent audience tape for the period that gives a good idea of what it was like. Check the samples to see if it passes your test.
::: As short as it is, this is presumably the entire set, as their slot was 7:15-7:45 PM. The band came out & put out - crunchy & rockin'. Crank 'er up!

Playback 2011-07-25 ::: 1st generation Maxell XLII-90 cassette on Nakamichi BX-300 cassette deck, Dolby B on, azimuth & pitch adjusted, heads cleaned & demagnatized -> Tascam CD-RW900SL pro CD recorder -> CD-RW -> computer, EAC secure -> wavs -> Audacity (fades &/or glitches, dropouts, volume adjustments, no EQ) -> CD Wave (track splits) -> Trader's Little Helper -> yer ears. Nothing here ever commercially released to my knowledge. If I'm wrong, please advise & I'll take the offending trax offline.

CoolSonics 079 ::: Thanks to the original taper & trader! ::: Corrections welcome ::: First association with the Quo is always listening to my "Pictures Of Matchstick Men" 45 over & over as a kid on my fold-down turntable on the "portable" console stereo with the detachable speakers, long about the time this concert was performed. Here are the Quo outta their pop psych years & the midst of their heavy blues & solid rock zone, before they took the pill I couldn't swallow. This stuff I can groove on with a vengeance, must have been a great band to see live at this time & it's great to hear a non-BBC recording, as they tend to be a bit stiff (proper!). Gotta give ' the band their due - I'm still playing their first 5 records after 40 years of listening & they're still playing major gigs. ROCK ON.
