Steamhammer
1971-xx-xx(*) ::: Stuttgart, Germany
unknown venue ::: M1-AUD

~*~ Mk3 version, carefully remastered fixing various issues, WITH differential EQ to lower harshness, NO noise reduction ~*~

01. improv (intro) ->
02. Louisiana Blues

Total Time ::: 18:45

::: VG++ ED'd version warmed up mono AUD. Check samples for fleein', figurin', fetin'.
.::: Warts: Repaired dullspots & dropouts but surely missed a few. This Mk3 EQ'd version fixes quite a bit of the overly bright sound but is still somewhat harsh - adjust yr knobs as you see fit).
::: CONTRAST CLAUSE: This is the overbright Mk2 NO EQorNR remaster. The Mk3 NO NR but with EQ version (lowering over-brightness) may be found elsewhere.
::: COMPARISON CLAUSE: The Mk1 version is the original (presumably rough) transfer file which was never uploaded.
::: (*)Tape came as "1972 Stuttgart M1-AUD" but is the Steamhammer MkVII line-up, so it is from Dec'69-Mar'71.
::: NOTE: NOT same as 1972-06-09 Stuttgart Gustav-Siegle-Haus M1-AUD (Penumbra/HoldThatTrain) show!
::: Depending on date in '70/71, still touring for"Mk II"LP issued Nov'69 or for "Mountains"released Nov'70.

DimeTravel 854 ::: Thanks to the original taper & trader! MANY thanks to HJU & DocTinker. Sincere thanks to whomever uploads this for me. ::: Corrections welcome ::: This is SMOKING. Essentially a 19 minute version of "Louisiana Blues" the STEAMHAMMER way & the longest version to appear. I fixed it up long ago, but never outed it, as I just hadn't made the full comparisons & done all the guesswork. This version is quite developed from the Beat Club versions & way more jammed out, not only longer. Also, it certainly seems to be the identical band line-up, so unlikely it is '69. (I'm guessing "71" looks more like "72" than "70" but that may have nothing to do with the tape transcription, but simply written many years after the fact). Separating out the guitar intro was probably not really necessary, but seemed to work. There is some VERY FINE freeforming vocal work in the midst of things. Finally ready to go. Listen, enjoy, show appreciation, share, give, spread peace. Yrs truly, Knees

Support the artists and/or their families! Still a number of CDs & LPs around & an upcoming CD box set as noted above. Nothing to buy, but check Martin Pugh's (up&running again) site at www.steamhammer.com

Do whatever you want with it except sell it, 'cause that ain't cool!
