I lost all info regarding this set (hard disc crash, it does happen...), I know I recorded this when it was broadcast, but it could either have been with 44/48 DAT or with MD [SP ATRAC3], then transferred to CDR (that's the only part I am sure of) - you can look at spectral/frequency analysis and make your own guess...

Venerd� 11 agosto 2006, dalle ore 21:00 circa, Radio1 trasmetter� il concerto della formazione reggae inglese Steel Pulse, registrato al festival Rototom Sunsplash 2006 (Osoppo, Udine). Radio1 propone un altro concerto dall'ultima rassegna "Rototom Sunsplash" di Osoppo (Udine), il pi� importante festival europeo dedicato alla musica reggae. Steel Pulse sono una delle band pi� famose dell'ondata del reggae inglese degli anni '70. Il gruppo di Birmingham ha iniziato testimoniando il grande disagio degli abitanti di Handsworth, il popoloso quartiere caraibico della citt�. Oltre ad avere accompagnato Bob Marley in alcuni dei suoi primi tour europei, Steel Pulse � stata anche la prima reggae band inglese ad essere accolta allo storico festival Reggae Sunsplash in Giamaica. Dagli esordi di album come "Handsworth Revolution" e "Tribute To The Martyrs", gli Steel Pulse si sono a poco a poco trasformati durante gli anni 80 in un gruppo di successo internazionale. Si ricordano anche dischi come "True Democracy", "Earth Crisis" e il live "Rastafari Centennial", favolosa testimonianza di energia. Negli ultimi lavori hanno collaborato con personaggi del reggae moderno come Tony Rebel, Macka B e Damian Marley. La discografia degli Steel Pulse ha raggiunto i 19 album, compreso l'ultimo "African Holocaust" del 2004, disco che ha ricevuto la nomination ai Grammy Awards. Attualmente vivono e lavorano negli USA e hanno accolto nelle loro fila musicisti statunitensi.
