::: Quite fine though slightly muddy FM broadcast. Check samples for self-awareness factor or a touch of the tunes.
::: Warts: tiny bit muffled, otherwise after 3 hours of work a fine listen.
::: Steve Ashley opening solo acoustic followed by the rock band If. BBC Archives don't seem to list this show.
::: I don't have the If set, but if you can upgrade this or share something from 1974, please do!

Nothing here ever commercially released to my knowledge. If I'm wrong, please advise & I'll take the offending trax offline.

CoolSonics 154 ::: Thanks to the original taper & traders! ::: Corrections welcome ::: Unknown generation, but another I wonder if I will ever hear in stellar quality, so why wait any longer. I was in the mood, did the transfer work & it sounds just fine. Recorded the year following the release of Steve's phenominal solo debut "Stroll On" in 1974, & several months before the release of "Speedy Return" from which most of these songs originate. Steve of course has had a rather illustrious musical career on the Brit folk scene, most notable perhaps as an early member of the Albion Country Band. If you don't know his work, check his website & definitely check out "Stroll On".

Kudos to Zongo for life support, Lochner for mikes&more & Fast Freddie for runnin' Video Dick's Record Emporium with the bathroom office full of tape decks. Thanks to Hanwaker (few among us can keep his pace). Mountains of gratitude to Davmar, D.White, Sanchez, Elliot, The Florida Kid, Kloiber, Zingg, JTW, Bershaw, Boston Gold, Weeks, Dixon, Moore, Gough & SO many more for all that collecting & sharing... Royal thanks to The Man In The Palace, Doc Tinker, Brinkhoffs, Barely Eatin', Reel Master Gaule, Parrish & all the traders who housed me thru my music acquisition & travel years. Hats off to Brother Kent, Uncle Jake, Little Queenie (& her neighbor Frank) & his honor Ptomaine Thomas. Glasses raised to Byron for musical horizon expansion & much obliged to J & Thurston for keepin' my concert fires burnin' since my continental shift. Thanks to the Mods for keepin' DIME alive. Enjoy, share, give, spread peace. Yers truly, Knees
