Show Notes:
There is a really funny story about how this gig happened. Earle was originally booked for the Fair down in Haines, in lieu of paraphrasing it, here's a distant paper's take on the situation:

Ao, Fairbanks and I'm sure Anchorage (at least from what I was told) were able to piggyback a show on his SE Alaska appearance. And what an appearance it was!
An acoustic show in a 333 seat theater with wooden walls?
Um, HELL YEAH!
Sadly, "loud guy" was to my right. He spoke to me once. I gave him the taper stinkeye. After that, it was only his claps that were annoying, if memory serves correct.
The highlight for me, besides the stories from Steve, was the duet with Allison Moorer (apparently she opened, Steve sat in on her set, and I MISSED IT!) on "Coming Around". And his coy remark as she sauntered off the stage. I'll leave you in suspense on that one...
This show *was* torrented on DIME years ago, but without the "Splenda" treatment from Dennis. Be sure to give him thanks if you enjoy the recording, as without him, the tapes sit in a box...As always, there is more in the pipeline. Much, much more.
