Steve Earle and The Dukes
Stubb's
Austin, Texas
March 16, 2000

Recording notes:

this is an audience recording of Steve's 2000 SXSW showcase at Stubb's in Austin, Texas. It was memorable for me in many ways -
Steve played most of his new album Transcendental Blues which wasn't released until several months later that year.
The crowd packed the outdoor venue with a Texas-sized storm front descendng: plenty of lightning, driving rain and even a tornado warning.
The closer was a blistering Nirvana cover - "Breed"

I can still feel the excitement 15 years on.
