This is an interesting show from Las Vegas at the end of 1999.
It was in a techno dance club at the Venetian Hotel called The C2K Room
The gaming floor was down a long hall outside the club, and it was clear that the people in charge had given Steve less time to play than he would like. As a result he was in a more grumpy mood than normal. His equipment was giving him troubles and there was a tiny but appreciative crowd urging him on. This is the only time I have ever seen Steve look nervous, I'm not saying he was nervous, but he sure seemed like it. We all sat at little round cocktail tables and I held my gear underneath it because it would have been very obvious otherwise. We had all sorts of elbow room and space between us. I believe this is one of the earliest recordings of Transcendental Blues, and also noteworthy is Steve plays Guitar on CH. He says at the end "I don't think I've ever played that song on guitar". His mandolin just stopped working entirely during Windfall, so they made an adjustment. I can't remember if we arrived late or they started early, but either way I missed the first couple songs. I don't even know what they were, but this recording starts with MOFTB.

When Steve finished and we were all hurried out the door, there was a huge huge line of kids in techno dance wear and goofy hairdos glaring at us as we passed. I guess we were holding up the party.

Strange show.
Not one of my favorites but it was right in the middle of recording "Transcendental Blues" so its a worthy addition to your collection.

I don't remember ever trading this one, but I have seen it (although rarely) on a list here or there so I must have given out a copy one time. I know it was mine because the same song starts the show as a fade in.

Thats all I remember...its a MASTER copy so enjoy it or destroy it.
