Today for the very first time anywhere. We have a new Steve Forbert recording.
Other than 3 Radio appearances. This is the only recording to surface from his 1995 US tour.
Steve is originally from Meridian, Mississippi.
In the very beginning Steve traveled to New York City and played guitar for change in Grand Central Station.
He continued to play various venues and he skyrocketed to international prominence with a folk-rock hit "Romeo's Tune".
Critics raved about Forbert's poetic lyrics and engaging melodies.
After his first two records came a series of well-crafted, unforgettable songs on such albums as Little Stevie Orbit,
Streets of This Town, The American in Me, Mission of the Crossroad Palms and Evergreen Boy.
His tribute to Jimmie Rodgers was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2004.
Forbert's lengthy discography has helped to establish him as an American icon and his music was pure Americana before that genre was even recognized.
The sound quality on this live recording is a bit muffled and noise from the fans running are noticable.
This is only average for clarity. though contains some rare played songs.
Please chime in if you can help with the song titles.
