Notes:
Get ready for 50db of dynamic range, and an amazing concert!

I went to this concert not knowing what to expect. Steve Gadd and Joey DeFrancesco are legends -- so I knew what
to expect of them. But the other two musicians were total unknowns to me. So with a little apprehension I sat
down and waited for the show.

The sax player looked like my dad. Tall, beer-belly, and looked like the clothes he wore were the best he had
(jeans & t-shirt) -- and don't forget the extra special "concert vest" -- which is probably really was the best
piece of clothing he owned.

But what does it matter? These guys could blow! Both sax and guitar players were very good. So even though I
started the show with some apprehension, I walked out blown away. So get ready for another great concert...you'll
definitely want to hear this one.

DVD-Audio Primer
A true DVD-Audio places its files in the AUDIO_TS folder of the DVD disc. A true DVD-Audio may have a very basic menu system to help navigate
the song titles. I'll call these DVD-AA -- for DVD-Audio in the Audio_TS folder. Full resolution DVD-Audio may be compressed with a lossless
MLP compression, or uncompressed LPCM.

However, not all DVD players support true DVD-Audio. Other DVD players are capable of playing 96Khz/24-bit audio, but only out of the VIDEO_TS
folders. I'll call these DVD-AV -- for DVD-Audio in the Video_TS folder. These DVD drives are NOT compatible with DVD-Audio, but do provide a
means for you to play these high resolution files. These types of high resolution audio DVDs may have a full-motion menu system, just as you
would see on DVD movie. There is one catch with these Hi-Res audio DVD-V recordings., during audio playback, the video stream is usually black.

Burning DVD-AA
I use WaveLab-6 for burning DVD-Audio. WaveLab-6 will burn an uncompressed DVD-Audio. The catch: It's about $500 (USD). Another catch:
if you create a DVD-Audio master, create an ISO from it, NERO doesn't seem to know how to burn another working DVD-Audio disc from the ISO.
So there's something weird about DVD-Audio ISO's that aren't quite compatible with ISO burning software.

Burning DVD-AV
There are two packages recommended for burning DVD-AV discs.

LPLEX (Free)
http://sourceforge.net/projects/audioplex/

Audio-DVD-Creator ($45 USD):
http://www.audio-dvd-creator.com/

Apollo Audio DVD Creator ($40 USD):

LPLEX is free and it works. You're supposed to drag-and-drop your files onto a batch file and it will do the rest. LPlex arranges the files in
alphabetic order, so I've made sure to name my files in such a way that they will be placed in the proper order. LPlex also allows you to
drag-drop .FLAC files directly into it -- as it will do the decoding for you.
