I'm pleased to be able to announce the second in a series of Steve Goodman
Preservation Society trees.

This new tree consists of Steve's performances at Headliners in Madison,
Wisconsin in 1980. There is an early, and a late, show with a considerable
number of different songs between them. On these sets Steve is accompanied by his
frequent touring companion, Jethro Burns on mandolin. The third CD of this set
is filled out by Steve's appearance on Gene Shay's show on WMMR in
Philadelphia in early 1974. This set features Saul Broudy and Lew London
accompanying Steve on a wonderful version of Hank Williams' "I'm So Lonesome, I Could Cry",
amongst others. The Headliners show is taken from soundboard tapes and the
WMMR show from a 2nd generation tape of the original radio broadcast.

Special credit and thanks go out to the very patient ElvisZappa for his
digital restoration and remastering of these shows, and also to Ken Richards for
the artwork.
