comments:
A very good complete recording of the Defector (from Genesis) on his "Defector" tour.
this is a first time ever master seed from this source. not a word or note of anything
in this show is missing. Both flips were between songs, and after some rather intensive
ICPVR (individual clap peak volume reduction) this (2007) Easter weekend, this sounds
better than ever and has not been very widely circulated, never before in lossless form
from the master. I have not edited anything out of this, from Steve's walkon to last
walkoff is all on tape and there are no fadeins or fadeouts or overlaps (as I usually
do with shows of over 80 min.) There are a few places you can break this up if burning
to disc, if burning to DAT you get full continuity on this one. the crowd was enthusiastic,
and also polite, not too much heard from them in the recording except between the songs.
I've seen Steve 3X, the first with Genesis in 1976. Always seen a fine show from him,
this one included. I thought about cutting out the encore breaks to try and fit it on 1 disc.
I notice several 1980 Hackett shows are on a single disc, but this wouldn't quite make it.
there's nothing edited out of here. you get the whole story, encore breaks and everything else,
no interruptions in the recording except 2 tape flips between songs, spliced seamlessly.
You may not even be able to notice where they are. this was first posted in 2008 with an
incomplete setlist. This is the same post, except the titles are all now named and corrected,
thus info. fpt and md5 files are different from the original post.
Do not sell this recording.
Trade freely and losslessly.
