DAZIN' ON HOT HOLY MOUNTAIN

A PROPYLAEN-RENDEL-SPACEBANDIT RECREATIONAL COOPERATION

---
A SPACEBANDIT field recording
---

---
OKM2R-> Zoom H2n (at Wav 16/44) -> SDcard -> HD -> Audacity (edit/remaster) -> WAV 16/44 -> TLH8 -> FLAC -> DIME -> YOUR EARS AND MIND..
Recorded by yours truly at an unfortunately suboptimal position: 3rd or 4th row dead center inside a fucking chatty crowd, which also started to clap along all the way.
Blablabla all the way through lovely versions of e.g. Supper's Ready...Hmm, I know what I like from my small shows...Anyway, the biggest "own goal" was that I forgot to switch off
my mobile phone (I only use for time settings instead of a watch), so there are some very annoying dizzling sounds in...well..my favourite song, "Dancing with the moonlit knight".
Of course I'm really pissed about my own fault, but that's just REALITY. Luckily we got another great tape from the greener. So this maybe only for the completists...and does not
deserve a real SPACEBANDIT label...So fucking sorry...SB.

SPACEBANDIT'S DOWN HOME BLUES REVIEW...

First of all I'd like to thank the marvellous work of all people who worked on the HOLY MOUNTAIN in six days of blazing sun, the organizers, the security, the helpers, the local
fire fighters, the water carriers, and, of course, those to had to clean up the ports (or loos, or Dixies, latter we call them in Germany). THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO BE A GUEST ON BURG HERZBERG FESTIVAL. Feels like home....hmmm...more than home...Ok, some personal thanks as well...to our fantastic campground crew...
Martin and Martina, Olaf and Alexandra, Volker and Evelyn, Klaus, the mighty Martin from Bochum (who provided us all with great acoustic guitar playing), Uli from Hannover, who
always knew the shortest ways to an icycold beer, and of course, my taper buddies, who took the main burden on taping: Propylaen and Rendel.
THANK YOU ALL FOR A REAL GOOD TIME!

Anyway, despite the flaws in my recording, this was a great moment in the history of the HOLY MOUNTAIN. As the first keyboard sounds of "Watcher of the skies" waved across
the Herzberg in perfect weather (no clouds visible), I guess everybody knew that there was something magical happening. The air was filled with tasty herbal smells, and the audience
as well as the band was in mood for a real good party. I've to admit that I didn't listen very much to GENESIS (up to Seconds out, of course) in the last, well...25 years or so,
but they were one of my most beloved bands in teenage days. So, listening to "Dancing with the moonlit knight" from my favourite album almost let me burst into tears. You know...
the feeling...at least I got to get this song live from stage done by the original guitar player...Woah! Time stood still for almost 2 hours on the Herzberg and before I'll extend my
crappy talk (like those around me on that show, I'm not that silly) I'd better shut up and give you, what my ears and mics experienced... SB.
