I've had plenty of opportunities to see Steve Miller Band over the past twenty
years and Ive never taken it. Finally in 2017, I did. I made a day of decision
that if I could find single around $25, I would go. Thankfully, there were more
than a few on craigslist going for that very amount. (Face value was $50). I had
just purchased a pair of CA-14 omnis from Chris Church and have been wanting to
try 'em out, this was the perfect chance! I had a few "whooo'ers" near me and
someone let Willy Whistles in (directly behind me), so he pops up every now and
then (wait for his spot in "The Joker"), but outside of those few gripes - it's
a very solid recording. The "Jet Airliner" closer was the highlight of the show
for me, but why did he pass on playing "Jungle Love" at the encore as he has
been doing all summer? Not cool, Steve!!! Next to "Rock'n Me", thats my favorite
SMB song!!! Damn it! Maybe next time...
