Here we have a nice quality Steve Morse Band show from their mini-tour at the end of 1992. Steve and the band flew down to Florida to do this special set for the Musician's Exchange after being off the road for 4 months, and they're a little rusty but still on the mark. Included in the set is Country Colors, an oddity in that the song wasn't present in the setlist on the previous tour nor the tour that followed. A personal favorite, Vista Grande, was played superbly, and while I could hear nary an imperfection in Runaway Train, Steve refers to it as "Runaway Train Wreck". As usual for a Morse show, during his talking section he makes reference to bootlegs and his disdain for them.

Datfly did a nice job on this one, the sound is even and clear though a little bass-heavy. The room sounds almost empty at times, I'm not sure of the size of the hall but I'm betting it holds less than 500 people. I boosted the levels and added 0.8 to the 500Hz, 1.4 to the 1kHz, 2.3 to the 2kHz, 3.1 to the 4kHz and 2.1 to the 8kHz to counter the bass.

At 58:01:135 I also deleted approximately 45 seconds of nothing but crowd noise in order to fit the show on a single 80 minute CDR. This makes the show exactly 79:55:941 in length, about as close to 80 minutes as it gets.

Photos used on the covers and label were taken from my private collection, NOT from the day of the show (unfortunately). Some people are particular about that, so I thought I'd add it here, I'm sure most of you could care less.

In Delray Beach around the time of this show, I saw my first SMB show. I just saw my second one last weekend. Wow, these guys are still amazing! Anyway, I decided to repost this excellent show in tribute to the band. Both the performance and sound quality are outstanding.
