Comments:

Early-in-the-tour Chicago stop for Steve Winwood, opening for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. I was hoping for some cross-over such as we'd found when these artists toured together in 2008, but it wasn't meant to be (at least in Chicago). Very solid and enjoyable opening set which didn't take any risks (I think the newest song in the set was released in 1986) but miles better than most opening acts.

The sound quality is very good. The idiots who came along to talk over my Tom Petty recording were still at the bar during Winwood's opening set, so this is a very little and mostly distraction-free recording.

A 16/44 version of this file set will be posted as a convenience for those who wish to burn to CD and can't (or don't want to) convert these 24-bit files.

Feel free to do what you like with this recording (cross-post it anywhere you wish, but don't sell it). Mp3 samples are included in the comments.
