Notes: This is actually my third time seeing Steve Winwood, though the first in his solo configuration - I previously saw him with Traffic at Fiddlers Green in 1994 and with Eric Clapton in at this same venue (then known as the Pepsi Center) in 2009 (which my wife and I filmed). My wife was primarily at this show with me to see Steve and she wasn't disappointed, though, fair to say, neither was I - we were both duly impressed by the band and how little guitar was played, yet it still jammed. Forty Thousand Headmen is sort of a weird Traffic song to play, but I was grateful to hear it. Overall, this was a great dual performance. My wife wondered why Steve was opening instead of headlining - my thought was that the Doobies have been regularly touring and recording in recent years and Steve hasn't, but, that said, I'd agree that Winwood has been overlooked lately.

Generally a decent capture - the mostly full arena was largely seated and respectful of the opener, which isn't always the case - though, it suffers from the typical arena ambience (i.e. lots of echo and nearby audience). We were seated in section 104, which is our preferred location in this venue.

I've also included 24 photos taken from our seats - they ain't art, but they give you an idea of the stage set-up and how the show looked from where we sat.
