Hey Everybody!
It's getting that time of year when we remember the day we lost Stevie Ray Vaughan. I was at work in Carmel, Indiana operating a radial arm saw listening to "The Bob And Tom Show" on Q95 when they broke the news about the helicopter crash @ Alpine Valley that took his life and kicking myself for not seeing him a few weeks earlier when he was doing a co-headlining tour with Joe Crocker @ Deer Creek in Noblesville because "I would see him when he came back around on his own tour" which never happened.
I was able to see SRV a total of 4 times (once in 1985 & 3 times in 1987) and unfortunetly I had not upgraded to a D-3 when I saw those shows. This show is the very first concert I ever taped and it didn't turn out half bad considering I had no clue on what I was doing! The tape deck in question was the Sony W800 dual cassette recorder that I got from the only outlet that sold recording walkmans that was "in stock" and that would be Service Merchandise. I had only bought the tape deck only hours before with the intentions of taping a future AC/DC show in Knoxville so I thought I would "practice" with a Halloween show with Stevie Ray Vaughan who I knew about but did no know how "great" he would be live. I was of course blown away and would see him 3 more times before he would pass away....too bad the tapes of those shows are not as crisp & clear as this one as they was all taped with the same deck but from different venues will different sound. With time I learned how to find the "sweet spot" in almost any venue I chose to go to. However I am happy with how this tape turned out.
I had originally posted this on The Trader's Den with the opening act Jason & The Scorchers on the same torrent so I doubt if you can use it to help reseed.... pust when I first started torrenting I did not have a text file in the original torrent so like with recording I have gotten better with my torrenting skills too!

Enjoy!
