Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble
The Gorge, George WA
July 21, 1990

Unknown (but low) gen cassette>WAV>Tracks split>CDR>EAC>FLAC
I had to burn to disc and extract with EAC because I can’t record well on the computer I use to torrent. This is a new conversion to WAV for this torrent and is different (and probably lower gen) than other circulating versions. If you have the master, please upgrade us (and nice job on the taping).

This has become one of my favorite shows from the final “Power and Passion” tour. The balance between the instruments is very good, as you may hear in the samples. Stevie is really playing well. Shows from this tour are generally upbeat. The Gorge is a beautiful spot and Stevie played an inspirational set as the sun went down. I recommend this show for those who want a solid SRV collection spanning the years because of the combination of performance and above-average sound (as SRV live ROIOs go).

Note: Although the sound quality is good, there is hiss present. I did not remove it because the hiss removal program made the overall sound terrible.

Band:
SRV-gtr, voc
Tommy Shannon – bass
Chris “Whipper” Layton – drums
Reese Wynans – Keys

The band is joined by a member of Joe Cocker’s band (keyboardist I think) for “Riviera Paradise.” During this tour, different members joined onstage – the sax player, bassist, etc.

IF ANYONE HAS A GOOD RECORDING OF JULY 17, Fiddler’s Green, Englewoood CO, please post it (DON’T post the really rough recording with all the crowd talk, that one is awful). There must be a good recording out there. I am also looking for Kansas City on July 16, but that show may not be circulating. Every version I have seen is actually the 1989 show, and I am working on the definitive version of that show for future DIME release. If your 90 KC ends with Voodoo Chile and Riviera, it is 89.

Please share with your friends. Do not be the douchebag who sells this. If you do, you will suffer from premature ejaculation and your guitar strings will break at critical points in solos. Women sellers will only date guys with the above conditions.
